1. Who Can Submit a Listing
ClarksvilleBiz.com is a directory for legitimate, lawfully operating businesses that serve the Clarksville, Tennessee area. Listings may be submitted by the business owner, an employee, or an authorized representative of the business. You must have authority to represent the business before submitting a listing on its behalf.
2. What Makes a Good Listing
A strong listing helps Clarksville residents find and trust your business. We encourage you to provide your full business name as it appears on your signage or official documents, a working phone number where customers can reach you, your physical address or service area, a clear and honest description of your products or services, your current business hours, and a link to your website if you have one. Listings with complete, accurate information are more likely to be approved and to appear prominently in the directory.
3. Eligible Businesses
We welcome listings from all types of local service businesses, retailers, restaurants, professional services, and community organizations operating in or serving the Clarksville and Montgomery County area. There is no fee to list your business.
4. Prohibited Listings
The following types of listings are not permitted and will be rejected or removed:
Illegal or unlicensed businesses. Any business that operates without required state or local licenses, or that offers products or services that are illegal under Tennessee or federal law.
Adult content. Businesses whose primary offering involves explicit adult content, adult entertainment venues, or escort services.
Deceptive or misleading listings. Listings that contain false business names, fabricated addresses, incorrect contact information, or descriptions that misrepresent the nature of the business.
Duplicate listings. A business may have only one active listing. Submitting multiple listings for the same business is prohibited. If you believe your business is already listed and you wish to update it, use the "Claim your listing" feature.
Spam and solicitation. Listings submitted for the purpose of advertising unrelated products or services, generating backlinks, or any other purpose other than genuinely representing a local business.
Businesses with no local connection. Businesses that do not serve the Clarksville or Montgomery County area and have no legitimate local presence.
Hate groups and discriminatory organizations. Any organization that promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence based on race, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
5. Content Standards
All listing content must be written in English, be factually accurate, and describe the business's actual products or services. Descriptions may not contain profanity, personal attacks, or content that is harassing, threatening, or discriminatory. Keyword stuffing is prohibited. Descriptions may not contain unsubstantiated promotional claims such as "best in Clarksville" or "number one rated" unless supported by a verifiable third-party source.
6. Photographs and Media
If you upload photographs or other media as part of your listing, you must own or have the right to use that content. Do not upload images that are copyrighted by others, that contain watermarks from stock photo services, or that depict other businesses or locations.
7. Review and Moderation
All listings are reviewed by our team before being published. We reserve the right to approve, reject, edit, or remove any listing at our sole discretion, including listings that violate these Guidelines, contain inaccurate information, or are otherwise not in the best interest of the Clarksville community. We may contact you for clarification before making a decision. Approved listings may be removed at any time if we determine that the business has closed, the listing information has become materially inaccurate, or the business is no longer eligible under these Guidelines.
8. Updating Your Listing
Business information changes over time. If your hours, phone number, address, or services change, please update your listing using the "Claim your listing" feature. Keeping your listing current helps residents find accurate information and improves your visibility in the directory.
9. Reporting a Problem
If you believe a listing contains inaccurate information, represents a fraudulent business, or otherwise violates these Guidelines, please report it to us at [email protected]. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
